The Dutch Eredivisie joins the Sorare digital football marketplace. This makes the soccer league the fourth available in the crypto network.

The deal is fixed. The entire Eredivisie is now playing on Sorare’s blockchain

This emerges from a press release from the digital football trading platform that BTC-ECHO has received. Players can now collect and exchange digital trading cards from all football clubs in the Eredivisie, such as the four-time Champions Leauge winner Ajax Amsterdam. In addition, footballers like Dušan Tadić, Donyell Malen or Sebastien Haller can also compete against each other in virtual matches. Well-known German players such as World Cup hero Mario Götze and national player Philipp Max are also represented. Marc Rondagh, Business Development Manager for the Eredivisie, commented on joining:

Our decision was largely driven by our enthusiasm for their ( Sorares , editor’s note) ambitious vision of building a global fantasy soccer game with digital maps. As a pioneer when it comes to innovation, we are always looking ahead, into the future, in order to offer our fans new experiences. In order to constantly improve these and to better present the brands of our clubs, Sorare will enable us to reach new, young communities, especially in Asia and America. We are proud of this new collaboration.

Sorare is also opening up a new revenue stream for the Eredivisie by creating a new category of gaming licenses : Fantasy Football Licensing.

The top division of the Netherlands has now been in an illustrious circle since joining. In addition to the Eredivisie, all teams from the Belgian Pro Leauge, the South Korean K Leauge, the Japanese J Leauge and the US Major Leauge Soccer (MLS) are represented on Sorare .
